Inconsistent Temperature
Preheat an electric oven, then test the thermostat's accuracy with a thermometer. Turn the screws behind the temperature knobs to re-calibrate an old oven, or consult the manual for specific instructions. A technician must replace the thermostat if it is defective. Please contact us right away.
Oven Door Looks Unstable
The presence of staining or soot around the door may indicate that it is warped. Open the door and loosen the screws that connect the inner and outer panels near the corners. Tighten the screws after pressing down on the door and twisting it from side to side. Close the door and check for any openings.
Door Doesn't Close Tightly
Open the door and look over the seal clipped to the front of the oven. Take off any damaged, burned, or soiled seal and replace it with an identical one from an appliance parts supplier. Leave seals on self-cleaning ovens and call us immediately.
Not Cooking Properly
t's possible that the element is about to burn out. Remove the screws that hold the element in place after disconnecting the power by tripping the switch at the consumer unit. Remove the element and use an electrical continuity tester to check it. If it's broken, it'll have to be replaced.
