Two Distinct Packages, One Provider
Some owners want everything included. Others prefer lower upfront costs and to pay only for what's needed. Now you can offer both with onsite repairs sorted on the day — without juggling multiple providers to do it.

We've redesigned our safety check packages... Here's why.
For easier, transparent comparison
We wanted to make it easier for property managers and owners to compare our offering against the broader market — with clearer, more transparent packaging.
To reduce friction around small repairs
We wanted to reduce that back-and-forth that minor repair items can cause and simplify property compliance.
To provide clear choice and better value
Not all owners want the same solution. Our new packages give you clear options designed to suit different properties, preferences and budgets.

Would you like small onsite repairs with your safety checks?
We've spent a lot of time looking at how compliance pricing works across the market, the friction small repair items can create for property managers and owners, and how we could simplify that experience for everyone involved.

Items repaired onsite at the time of your Taskforce Plus or Taskforce Saver safety check
We use quality, well-known brands for all replacement units and parts - including GT High Performance smoke alarms and Clipsal power points, light switches and safety switches.

Hard-wired GT smoke alarms

Standard Clipsal power points

Standard Clipsal light switches

Clipsal circuit breakers and RCDs (safety switches)

Switchboard fire caulking

FAQs
Why did Taskforce introduce two packages?
Not all owners want the same solution. Taskforce introduced two packages to provide clearer, more transparent compliance pricing options for different owner preferences so you don't have to deal with multiple providers. Taskforce Saver offers lower upfront pricing with pre-agreed repair pricing, while Taskforce Plus provides more predictable compliance costs with common onsite repairs included.
Is this just about increasing prices?
No. The updated structures are designed to provide better overall value by reducing separate rectification invoices, unexpected repair costs and repeat attendance for common onsite items.
What is the main difference between Taskforce Saver and Taskforce Plus?
Both packages cover gas, electrical and smoke alarm checks in one annual visit. The difference is how onsite repairs are handled. Taskforce Plus includes common repairs in the package price — no separate bills for the listed items. Taskforce Saver completes repairs on the day at pre-agreed prices, so owners only pay for what is actually needed. Taskforce Plus suits owners who want full cost certainty. Taskforce Saver suits owners who prefer a lower base cost with transparent repair pricing.
In short:
Taskforce Saver = lower upfront pricing with pre-agreed pricing for common onsite repairs which are charged as they are required.
Taskforce Plus = more predictable pricing with common onsite repairs included.
What is included in Taskforce Saver?
Taskforce Saver includes:
one annual compliance visit
all required safety checks
pre-agreed onsite repair pricing
compliance reporting
Australian-based customer support
Owners only pay for repairs identified during inspection.
What is included in Taskforce Plus?
Taskforce Plus includes:
one annual compliance visit
all required safety checks
common onsite repairs included within the package structure
electrical certificates where required
post-pay invoicing
Australian-based customer support
The package is designed to reduce separate rectification invoices and separate call outs for minor issues.
Will PMs need owner approval every time repairs are identified?
No. Under both packages, common onsite rectifications are pre-authorised through the package structure and agency agreement.
This reduces the need for separate owner approvals for common low-value rectification items.
What are the pre-agreed repair prices under Taskforce Saver?
All repair pricing under Taskforce Saver is pre-authorised, so there are no surprise quotes for work identified on the day. Prices include:
standard smoke alarm replacement $50+GST;
hard-wired smoke alarm replacement $99+GST;
standard powerpoint or light switch replacement $50+GST each;
faulty circuit breaker replacement $50+GST;
faulty RCD replacement $80+GST;
firecaulk switchboard $30+GST;
flue strapping $90+GST;
meter hoops $99+GST;
UV protection for PEX pipes $50+GST.
Where one or more electrical items are replaced in a single visit, one electrical certificate is issued at $20+GST.
What happens if additional repairs are identified?
Repairs outside the included or pre-authorised categories are quoted separately.
The included/pre-authorised repair categories were carefully selected based on the most common rectifications identified during rental safety checks, in an effort to minimise separate quotes, repeat attendance and additional visits wherever possible.
Can owners switch packages mid-cycle?
No. Once a property is assigned to a package, it remains on that package for the duration of the 2yr compliance cycle.
Package changes take effect at the start of the next cycle only.
This helps maintain:
pricing consistency
scheduling continuity
administrative consistency
Why are smoke alarm checks included in both packages?
Smoke alarm checks are a legal requirement and form part of the annual compliance cycle.
Both Taskforce Plus and Taskforce Saver are structured around maintaining complete compliance coverage across:
smoke alarms
gas safety
electrical safety
Smoke alarm servicing cannot be separated from the package structure.
What repairs are included in a Taskforce Plus Safety Check?
Taskforce Plus includes onsite repairs at no additional cost across all three check types. All faulty or expired smoke alarms are replaced with new units. For gas and electrical, each trade completes a minimum of four repair items per visit where required, and will continue beyond that where time permits.
Items included at no additional cost are:
standard smoke alarm replacement;
hard-wired smoke alarm replacement;
standard powerpoint or light switch replacement;
faulty circuit breaker replacement;
faulty RCD replacement;
firecaulk switchboard;
flue strapping;
meter hoops;
UV protection for PEX pipes.
Where one or more electrical items are replaced in a single visit, one electrical certificate is issued at $20+GST.
There is no cost cap per item — inclusions are defined by item type, not dollar value.
Can I have some owners on Taskforce Plus and some on Taskforce Saver in the same rent roll?
Absolutely. Agencies will nominate a default package for operational consistency, however individual owners may still actively select the alternative option if preferred.
This allows agencies to maintain a consistent rollout approach while still providing owner flexibility.
When do the new packages commence?
Taskforce Saver and Taskforce Plus are available from 1 June 2026 but not activated until a SLA has been signed. Jobs completed before this date remain under the previous pricing structure and are not eligible for the new package inclusions. Reach out to our team or request a call back to discuss moving to the new packages.
I've just signed an SLA with Taskforce. Do I need to sign a new one to move to these new packages?
Yes. The updated SLA activates:
the new pricing structure
onsite repair inclusions
the owner package selection process
Existing agreements do not automatically transfer to the updated structure.
What if an owner wants to use their own trades?
Owners who do not wish to use the included repair categories may opt out and arrange compliance servicing independently.
Owners who opt out become responsible for:
arranging compliance safety checks
meeting compliance requirements
providing all required compliance documentation and evidence
Is there a limit to the number of onsite repairs that are included?
Beyond replacing smoke alarms (which will always be replaced if faulty or expired) each trade will complete a minimum of 4 items, and will continue beyond that where time permits. The only reason additional items may be left for a later visit is if completing them would affect the technician's schedule for other jobs that day. Gas and electrical repairs are carried out by separate trades — a plumber handles gas work and an electrician handles electrical work — therefore if a gas, smoke and electrical check is being conducted and multiple items have been identified for repair then all smoke alarms, at least 4 electrical items and at least 4 gas items will be repaired onsite.
So where time allows, the trades will address additional items beyond the minimum four. If items remain that cannot be completed in a single visit due to time constraints, a no-obligation rectification quote will be provided for any remaining work to be conducted at a separate visit.
What happens if more repairs are found than can be completed on the day?
Gas and electrical repairs are carried out by separate trades simultaneously — a plumber for gas and an electrician for electrical — so they don't compete for time. Each trade completes a minimum of four items per visit where required, and will continue beyond that where the schedule allows. If items genuinely cannot be completed on the day, a no-obligation rectification quote is provided for the remaining work. There is no obligation to accept it.
What happens if there is a problem after the trades leave?
Both packages include free in-person call-outs. Smoke alarm-related call-outs are included for 12 months from the date of the smoke alarm safety check. Gas and electrical call-outs are included for 7 days from the date of the relevant check. Call-outs outside these periods are subject to a fee, which will be confirmed at the time of booking.
