22/12/20 I have paid $199 at the time of booking installation for replacement of existing light with the fan. In order to accomodate my request, technician had to run an extra wire.
He has supplied fan fittings to the ceiling and wire. He used around 3m of wire, around half a meter of still rod and spent about 30 min to run that wire thru the wall. The rest of the time he spent on fitting the fan (I paid for this installation already $199).
He charged me on top of what I already paid $280 (that is for supply and run of wire, which took him less than 30 min).
I was happy to pay extra, but $280 is absolutely ridiculous !
When I questioned the charge, I was told that technitian spent way too much time on the whole job.
But that wasn't my problem. I was supposed to be charged an extra for running and supply of wire and fitting ONLY, as I paid for fan install already
Total installation cost me $479 !!!
Sounds like a scam to me.

I rang Ventair and they sent the part the next day after I rang. I didn’t get any service from the electricians until I complained after 3 weeks that the part had already been sent. 18/10/20 My warranty service has not been completed and I would give negative stars if I could. This has been outstanding since at least early August 2020 - it is now October 2020 and I’m still waiting for Ventair to resolve. The heater light and fan were originally not working on my unit. Ventair replaces the entire unit with one that was more faulty - light, heater light and fan malfunctioning. Ventair would no longer replace the whole unit but first replaced the light, which now only flickers intermittently (still not quite right). When they were going to replace the heater light, the part that was provided was damaged - this is still outstanding. Now the fan is malfunctioning. This has made me totally lose faith in this product and I have voiced my strong dissatisfaction to my architect and my builder to bear in mind for their future clients. VENTAIR - PLEASE PROVIDE ME WITH A UNIT THAT WORKS!!! THE ONE YOU GAVE ME IS SO UNDEPENDABLE THAT IT SHOULD BE REPLACED AS A WHOLE!!! So of course you decided the best thing to do is tell your electrician the problem lies with the remote control. But In doing so they damaged the ceiling. And left without telling me. 16/12/19 Job was not done. The electrician wouldn’t do the job unless he could update the electrical board at a cost of a ‘few hundred dollars’. If I was getting more done than just 1 fan replaced then yes I would agree but not for 1 thing. Also the faulty fan had already been installed so he wouldn’t need to do any electrical work except to turn off the power and plug the new fan in then turn the power back on, so zero stars for that, they left but came back saying that Brilliant asked them to leave the replacement fan with us hence the 2 stars. Fansonline tells me to contact the electrician they supplied to fix the fault, their electrician tells me to make a warranty claim back to Fansonline who then tell me this claim must be made with the manufacturer. The manufacturers website claim form doesn't work so I call them....they said they will email me out a form to complete and email back to them.......still waiting for this email.
